At Off Duty Lawn & Lights, we know pricing is a major factor and we believe in being fully transparent. While it’s uncommon in our industry, we openly share our costs because we value trust, honesty, and integrity as veterans and firefighters. We want you to have all the information you need to decide if we’re the right fit for your property.
Our minimum service charge is $34.99 (with exemptions of warranty services), which covers the essential costs of labor, equipment maintenance, and fuel. This helps us operate sustainably and continue providing reliable, high-quality service. We work hard to stay efficient so we can offer competitive pricing while keeping our community looking its best.
Off Duty Lawn & Lights charges $4.50 per foot for Christmas light installations, here's how you can calculate the pricing based on different lengths:

For 50 feet of lights: $4.50/ft × 50 ft = $225.00

For 100 feet of lights: $4.50/ft × 100 ft = $450.00

For 300 feet of lights: $4.50/ft × 300 ft = $1,350.00
The total cost is determined by multiplying the total footage by the rate of $4.50 per foot. This price includes all materials (custom-fit lights, storage bin, and automatic timer) as well as professional installation and removal beginning January 3rd.
The following year's install cost goes down to just $1.50 per foot, as you will already own your Christmas lights, and all you are having to pay for at that point is install and takedown.
What affects the price of our services
Time: The shape of the lawn will likely affect the cost of your lawn service. Perfectly rectangular lawns will usually take less time to mow compared to an irregular shaped lawn full of curves and obstacles such as trees, or fountains, lawn decorations, etc. The simpler the lawn, the faster it will take to cut, therefore reducing the cost of your service.
Optional Clippings Disposal: For an additional charge, we can bag & haul off your lawn clippings off to the dump for proper disposal. Bagging your clippings is the preferred method because if there is too thick of a layer of clippings over your lawn, it will prevent nutrients from reaching the grass below. This will also reduce the need to dethatch your lawn as often, keeping your grass greener longer.
Minimum Charge: Whether your lawn is 100 sqft or 15,000 sqft, Every time one of our crews shows up to your property, we must charge a minimum of $34.99 for any service that you are requesting. We still need to pay for gas, equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, employees, disposal, and many other things. And we can only keep doing that as long as we have a minimum charge for all of our services that we provide.
